In this entry I cover my experience of working as a LinkedIn Learning instructor. You’ll discover the process behind the scenes of setting up, recording, and producing the courses. Additionally, I’ll share the revenue generated and earnings from the two courses that I’ve put together.
On January 10, 2022 (last year), a content manager from LinkedIn Learning reached out to me via the DATAcated Circle direct messages with this comment:
I'm a Content Manager for LinkedIn Learning. I'm reaching out to you because I focus on building our course library for data content. I’m searching for experts who are passionate, active within the tech community, and are effective communicators. If this opportunity would be of interest to you and you'd like to learn more about what we do, I'd be glad to set up a brief 30 minute call. Thank you for your consideration! I look forward to hearing from you.
INTRO CALL: I promptly responded and shared my interested in learning more. After that we got on a call, and chatted about potential courses that I could develop that would be suitable for their needs. I was really passionate about helping others build a personal brand on LinkedIn so I focused on that topic.
AUDITION: The next step was to provide an ‘audition’ video’ which shows how I present so their producers can decided if they want to work together.
